King's Pointe Waterpark Resort King's Pointe Resort in Storm Lake, Iowa opened August 2007. The resort is located right on the shores of Storm Lake, a 3,200 acre natural lake in northwest Iowa. King's Pointe is part of a $39 million Project AWAYSIS by the city of Storm Lake. Project AWAYSIS intends to transform the shores of Storm Lake into a tourist destination.
