The farm is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Eric Tippit and Karen Dierolf. With respect to our name, Caprine is the scientific term meaning of or pertaining to goats. Most goat dairies have a theme for naming their does as they are born into the herd. Eric, an avid James Bond fan, suggested the Bond girls might be an entertaining theme. This stuck when Karen recommended the idea of spoofing the James Bond film Casino Royale. This developed into the herd name "Caprino Royale".
